Outdoor Grilling

Grilling Guidelines for Woodhawk I Common Areas

According to the By-Laws and the Handbook of Rules and Regulations (2025), grilling and cooking on patios and balconies at Woodhawk One property is strictly prohibited.  If found to be not in compliance with the guidelines, you will be notified and fined, according to the guidelines in the Handbook of Rules and Regulations, and your grill will be confiscated.

The Board of Directors of Woodhawk One has decided, however, that it will consider issuing individual homeowners permits to have grills placed on common lawn areas adjacent to the homeowner's building.  The following guidelines apply:

  • Individual homeowners must apply* and receive a permit from Woodhawk One for a designated period, not to exceed ninety (90) days. Permits are renewable

  • Placement of the grill must not present a safety hazard or nuisance.

  • Homeowners with grills must immediately clean up all debris around their individual grill after use. If not, a fine of $75 will be imposed.

  • Grilling is only permitted between the hours of 8:00am and 9:00pm.

The Board of Directors of Woodhawk One reserves the right to limit the number of lawn grills.  Applications for a permit will be considered on a “first come, first served” basis.  The Board of Directors assumes no responsibility for loss or damage etc. to any grill given a permit. In the event of a nuisance or safety hazard the Board of Directors may require immediate removal of the grill by the homeowner.
